Should I let a US jeweler replace the lab grade?

No. The lab grade is the document. The jeweler’s useful opinion is whether the inclusion bothers them and whether the mounting will protect the stone.

US guides

Getting a second opinion from a US jeweler on a loose diamond

Use them for the setting and for a sanity check that the stone matches the report.

The US decision

If they dislike lab-grown diamonds as a category, that is a preference. Ask what they see in the inclusion, not what they think of the industry.

What to verify

Bring the PDF. A verbal carat weight wastes the visit.

What to do next

Do this inside the return window if the diamond is returnable. Carat Mate ships the certified loose diamond and its lab report to United States addresses. Prices on the site are in USD. Wrong-item returns may be considered within 3 days of delivery, subject to review.
