A 2 carat lab-grown diamond weighs 2.00 carats. On a round, that is about 8.1 mm across. Shape changes how large it looks.
Carat is weight, not diameter. A well-cut round near 2.00 ct is typically about 8.0–8.2 mm. An oval or pear of the same weight looks longer because the outline is stretched. A princess spreads weight into corners rather than a circle.
Depth hides size. A very deep stone can weigh 2 carats and face up smaller than a shallower 1.80 ct. Read the millimeter measurements on the certificate, then confirm with the photo.

Inclusions and tint are easier to see in a larger stone. A clarity grade that looked quiet at 1 carat can show more at 2 carats if the inclusion sits under the table. Use the 360° view, not the grade alone.
Color works the same way. G–H still looks white in yellow gold for many people. In white metal, some shoppers prefer F–G once the stone is this large. Compare two listings side by side instead of assuming a letter grade.

A 2 carat natural diamond with strong color and clarity is priced for rarity. A 2 carat lab-grown diamond with similar grades is usually priced much lower, so this weight is realistic for more budgets.
That does not make every 2 carat listing equal. Cut, color, clarity, and the lab still move the price. Filter lab-grown inventory around 2 carats and sort by price only after the cut floor is set.

Check carat to the hundredth (1.90 versus 2.01), measurements, table and depth, and the report issuer. Then watch the video for bow-tie on ovals and pears, or a dark inclusion on rounds.
Carat Mate’s 2 carat lab-grown page starts from that weight so you are not paging through smaller stones.
