The center is the stone you grade carefully. The sides should not embarrass it.
A G center with J sides will show the gap in white gold. Keep the sides at the center’s color or better.
Clarity on tiny sides is less visible than color. Do not buy SI clutter that you can see as dark specks next to a clean center.
