US guides
A diamond color grade is not a metal. US buyers who want white gold or platinum notice tint sooner than buyers who want yellow gold.
H and I color often look white in yellow gold because the metal is already warm. That is why many US solitaires in yellow gold do not need a D color center.
If the US setting will be white metal, compare F and G in the photos before you pay for D. The jump from G to D can cost more than the face-up change, especially on a natural diamond.
Tint is easier to see at 2 carats than at 0.70 carat. A color that worked on a friend’s smaller US ring may not be the one you want at your weight.
