Clarity grades from FL to I1

FL and IF are loupe-clean. VVS inclusions are extremely small. VS1 and VS2 are the grades most engagement shoppers land on: they are usually eye-clean, meaning you do not see the inclusion without magnification.

SI grades and open-facet shapes

SI1 can still look clean if the inclusion sits to the side. SI2 and I1 are more likely to be visible. Emerald and Asscher cuts show inclusions more than round brilliants, so clarity matters more on those shapes.

Use the plot and the photo

The plot on the lab report shows where the inclusion is. A dark crystal under the table is more obvious than a feather near the edge.
