Both labs grade diamonds. Shoppers care about which name is on the report — and whether that report matches the stone in front of them.
GIA (Gemological Institute of America) is the lab many buyers name first for natural diamonds. IGI (International Gemological Institute) grades a large share of lab-grown diamonds sold online and also grades natural stones.
Neither logo replaces a visual check. Two Excellent / Ideal cut rounds with the same color and clarity can still look different in video.

On lab-grown diamonds, IGI reports commonly list growth method (CVD or HPHT) and may note post-growth treatment in comments. That disclosure helps you read the stone honestly.
GIA also identifies laboratory-grown diamonds. Report formats can differ from classic natural-diamond letter grades — read the document you open, not a summary on a blog.

Filter by certification when you have a preference, then compare cut, color, clarity, photo, and price. Prefer the better-looking stone with a matching PDF over a famous lab name alone.
If you are buying lab-grown and want growth-method transparency, open the certificate and read the comments before you request.
